August 21, 2024 – The Bob & Joanne McIntyre Center is Unveiled at the Pinellas Education Foundation
At the official ribbon cutting event on August 21, 2024, the Bob & Joanne McIntyre Center at the Pinellas Education Foundation was officially presented to the community. The Center is named for DITEK’s beloved founder, Chairman of the Board, and former CEO, Bob McIntyre, and his late wife, Joanne McIntyre.
This is a testament to Bob and Joanne’s unwavering dedication and passion for education and community. Since 1995, Bob has served on the Pinellas Education Foundation’s Board of Directors, committing time and resources to support countless students and teachers in Pinellas County. Recently, Bob also established a $1 million endowment at the Foundation to honor Joanne, extending their impact on children in the community.
Inside the Center is “Enterprise Village,” and DITEK is one of several businesses that 5th grade students are introduced to for a day. 8th graders visit “Finance Park” which also exposes students real-life work environments, including DITEK.
We’re honored and so proud of the values Bob and Joanne instilled in all of us at DITEK, and we look forward to continuing their legacy, fostering a space where dreams and learning flourish.

2024 Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces
The 2024 Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces list with the top 100 companies in the area included DITEK Corporation for the 15th year in a row!
In partnership with Energage, the Times conducts research in the region and surveys local employers in a variety of industries. This year, more than 100,000 local employees participated in rating business, and over 200 companies were surveyed.
The recognition is a huge testament to each and every person at DITEK.

When DITEK was founded by Robert (Bob) McIntyre, he instilled the value of supporting the local community. Today, he’ll tell you, “That’s the thing about a business; find out where you can get involved and how much fun it can be.”
So far this year, we’ve volunteered or partnered with the Pinellas Education Foundation to sponsor the Evening of Excellence, as well as Pinellas County Schools to recognize the district’s top-performing academies. Youth Leadership Pinellas joined us at DITEK’s headquarters for a facility tour, surge protection demonstration, and a discussion about DITEK’s founding and values. And, we partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties for the CEO Build and an Executive Build Day.

DITEK is proud to announce the launch of our digital training platform, DITEK University, in partnership with SecurityCEU.com and the CMOOR Group. DITEK University offers online, interactive training courses covering a variety of surge protection topics ranging from basic principles to best practice techniques for specific applications.

Additional microlearning courses available at DITEK University provide training on key surge protection topics in convenient five-to-ten-minute segments. Each microlearning module is application specific, allowing attendees to choose from the topics available and receive a high quality, directed education.
